By early 2025, after years of building, shipping, and investing separately, Srijan and Punit looked around and felt the same quiet frustration: too many things that should exist simply didn’t. Products that could change how we live, companies that could shift entire industries, futures that felt closer to who we are as people—most of them stayed trapped as late-night conversations, half-written notes, or “someone should really do this” ideas.

They had both been there before. Srijan had started ITSHEMP from nothing because he believed India deserved honest, high-quality, homegrown wellness. Punit had helped engineer Rippling into a global powerhouse and quietly backed dozens of founders as an angel because he kept seeing brilliant people stuck at zero, missing the exact push they needed to go from idea to reality.

They realized the pattern: the world moves forward not when smart people wait for permission, but when a few decide to roll up their sleeves and make the thing themselves.

So they joined forces.

Madeup Ventures began the way the best things do—two friends refusing to let good ideas die in the group chat. No rigid thesis, no sector checkboxes, just a simple filter: does this feel like something the world is quietly begging for? If yes, we build it. Sometimes the idea is ours, sometimes it walks in through someone we trust, but every single one gets the same promise: we are in it with you, for real, for as long as it takes.

We bring everything we’ve got—decades of shipping products, designing experiences, writing code that scales, telling stories that stick, raising and deploying capital, and the stubborn optimism that refuses to call “hard” a good reason to stop.

We are sector-agnostic on purpose. Wellness, climate, education, creator tools, communities, infrastructure—whatever keeps us up at night is fair game.
